LinguistLink is unique in that it is a project-focused project management tool that is designed bring clients, PM's and linguists together to support language-related projects. It takes all communication regarding a project and puts it in one place for any and all interaction. 

You can use any vendor you like

LinguistLink is vendor neutral. It allows you to schedule projects with one vendor or to many qualified linguists.

You can message linguists directly

With LinguistLink, you have access to the linguists who are working on your project. You can even view their profiles and send them direct messages.

Linguists can work as a team

Linguists can post questions and look for resources on projects without having to wait for the Project Manager to reply.

By having a consistent way to monitor requests, your organizations will have data to help with future planning and understanding the language needs of your end clients.

The following diagram shows the different users of Linguistlink and the features of the system that allow for collaboration. Linguistlink exists to enable easy communication and collaboration across language-related projects (like translation, interpretation, quality assurance, etc.). All project stakeholders can follow the progress of the projects, even when there are multiple languages and tasks involved. With just a few steps to Specifically, the three main user types are:

The Requester is generally the client who makes the initial request for the service. Using LinguistLink, the requester can make requests and track the status of projects. In addition, Requesters can be actively participate in project discussions to enable the best possible results.

The Scheduler is a role that may not exist at every organization. This is usually a person or persons who provide a central clearinghouse for processing requests for services. The scheduler can review requests and select the linguists and vendors who would be the ideal to meet the needs. The Schedulers have the ability to onboard and manage vendors.

The Linguists are the suppliers who perform the work. They can use LiinguistLink to plan their schedules, accept (or reject) projects, and collaborate with all the stakeholders. They also have the ability to track their project history and submit time spent on projects.
