Updated: Why am I getting so many notifications?
Problem
I am getting a lot of notifications about things that don’t related to me.
Solution
As a collaboration tool, LinguistLink can get excited about keeping everyone in the loop. We try to minimize unnecessary notifications, but users need to use the messaging features correctly. If a message is posted to everyone, you’ll get the email, whether it applies to you or not. Here are some ways to avoid getting or sending unnecessary emails.
Send direct messages to the schedulers instead of posting to everyone.
You will receive notifications anytime the project status is updated. It’s possible the administrative team updates the status as part of the workflow.
You may be a participant on a conversation that doesn’t related to you? You can ask your scheduler to remove you.
If you want to unsubscribe from all notifications, go to the last message you received from “no-reply@linguistlink.net”. At the bottom of the notification, you have the option to “unsubscribe” which will unsubscribe you from everything or “Manage Email Preferences”.
When you select “Manage Email Preferences”, you can select which types of notifications you do not want to receive. If you do NOT want to receive the notifications, mark “Yes”.
